2019 Summer Camps

We know many of you are making plans for your kids to attend camp this summer (local, day camp, overnight, Jewish, secular). Every year, Havurah kids coincidentally end up at camps together, which gives them the opportunity to reinforce the friendships and community they’ve built during the school year. Being with other Havurah kids in the larger community can be a great experience in your child's summer.

To ease your way connecting with other Havurah families, we’ve created a Google document that you can access here.

You may list your kids’ attendance at a specific camp in particular weeks, along with your contact information. As the spread sheet is populated, you will be able to see where there are matches for carpooling or companionship. You might also learn about some new camp opportunities!

In addition, we’re including links to some Jewish overnight camps Havurah kids attend. Each of these camps offers financial aid, so please inquire with them directly. In addition, the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation offers scholarships, and assistance is available for first-time campers through the Foundation for Jewish Camp. Rabbi Benjamin is also able to offer financial support to families, so please be in touch with him directly.
