Steering members and staff will meet to consider matters of governance. All Havurah Shalom members are invited to attend Steering Committee meetings. A link to a draft agenda, accessible only to logged-in members, will be posted here in advance of the meeting.

You, too, can learn how to chant the Torah. This beautiful, ancient system is a treat to learn, and inspiring to sing. Ken Lerner will teach you everything you need to connect with this heritage and become a proud “leyner,” or Torah chanter.

Learn about the mild-mannered beginnings and history of comic books from their inception in the 1930s to the modern day. We will go over the origins of the medium of comics and talk about how Jewish culture has influenced them from the beginning. We'll also deal with hard-hitting questions such as, "Has Spider-Man become bar mitzvah?" Led by Kyle Steele.

A musical, all-ages Friday night service with family-friendly dessert and hearty nosh before and after. All are welcome! 5:45 pm Hearty Nosh, 6:30 Service, 7:30 Oneg. Free childcare is provided.
