Havurah's Covid Safety Guidelines, effective Nov. 1, 2022

Effective November 1, 2022, Havurah has adopted simplified, streamlined guidelines for participants at Havurah events. These Guidelines reflect the recommendations of the medical professionals on the COVID Management Team and will be updated should circumstances change.

Here are the basic rules:

Community Activities and Events:

  • Vaccination/testing requirement – participants ages five and older must be vaccinated or have a negative antigen test within 24 hours of a Havurah activity.
  • Recent COVID symptoms – individuals experiencing the recent onset of COVID symptoms (fever, chills, new loss of taste or smell, congestion, cough, shortness of breath) should not participate in Havurah activities.
  • Recent positive COVID test – you may enter the building five days after a positive COVID test provided that any fever has resolved.
  • Masking is welcome and optional – Except as stated below, masks are optional at Havurah activities.
    • Tested positive for COVID in the last 10 days? You must wear a mask if you are in the building within 10 days of a positive COVID test.
    • Are you unvaccinated? Masking is encouraged.
    • Masks may be requested. Other masking protocols may be requested at the discretion of those involved in planning or participating in an activity.

    Shabbat School:

    • Shabbat School Children ages 5 to 11 are not required to be vaccinated or tested in order to attend Shabbat School.

Remote Access: Our value of inclusivity is supported by making our services and programs available through Zoom and other technologies. Havurah has invested in technology that is designed to provide a satisfactory hybrid experience for our community and we are committed to providing remote access to many of our activities and events.

Covid Management Team: Havurah’s Covid Management Team is led by Co-President, Loree Devery. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to her by email or phone (in the Havurah Directory). Your communication will be shared with the entire group and a member of the CMT will get back to you. Learn more about the CMT here.
