Text & Torah Shabbat: Names of God 10 am to 12 pm, Saturday, February 8 (with Text & Torah sessions on specific Shabbat mornings through May) — Havurah Shalom and Zoom Room Aleph
Text and Torah is an interactive learning session followed by a brief Shabbat morning service and a light, catered community brunch. Guided by Diane Chaplin and other congregants, we’ll discuss and study both ancient and modern history and interpret how certain Jewish practices can be meaningful to us today. No registration or previous knowledge necessary—all you need is an eager mind! For the Zoom login info, please email info@havurhshalom.org in advance. As with all Shabbat services, you can attend in person at Havurah Shalom or on Zoom. All are welcome; join for any and all Text & Torah sessions.
(Note that while Havurah’s weekly Torah Study takes place at 9 am on Saturday mornings, Text and Torah begins at 10 am, as part of Shabbat Morning services.)

All Havurah members who identify as LGBTQIA+ (and families!) are invited to our next queer solidarity gathering and potluck at Beka Feathers and Chelsea Spangler's North Portland home. In addition to sharing space and a meal, we'll talk about future activities to protect, strengthen, and support our community within Havurah. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share. We also ask that you stay home if you have any COVID symptoms. RSVPs are appreciated but not required.
Questions? RSVPing? Email Beka Feathers(log in to your Havurah member account to access the member directory).
(Note: Last week's issue of Hineinu incorrectly listed the location of this potluck as Havurah Shalom; to clarify, the Feb. 9 Queer@Havurah Solidarity potluck will take place at Chelsea Spangler and Beka Feather's North Portland home.)
