4:30 PM - 7:00 PM
This year, in concert with our theme of Panim el Panim (face to face), we’ll celebrate Chanukah all together, focusing on the light our Tikkun Olam work groups are bringing into the world with Shabbat School families and Havurahniks of all ages.
Schedule of events:
3:00 -7:00 pm - Visit Tikkun Olam displays in the social hall and learn how you can increase the light. (Shabbat School will be in session, as scheduled.)
4:30-5:15 pm - Havdalah & Chanukiot lighting, skit, and singing
5:15-6:15 pm - Vegetarian potluck dinner
6:15-7:00 pm - Dreidels, games, and merriment
Please bring a vegetarian salad, latkes, and/or dessert to share. Families with last names starting with the following are encouraged to bring the following:
A-I: Salad or side dish
J-R: Latkes (Reheat-able latkes only, please. We aren't allowed to fry food in our kitchen.)
S-Z: Dessert
If you would like to bring latkes in addition to salad or dessert, feel free! Can’t have too many latkes!
Also, please bring socks, gloves, or hand warmers to donate through Street Roots for people experiencing homelessness.
Please consider taking a 20-minute shift to welcome people to Havurah! We'd love to have two greeters at the door for every shift. Sign up here.
Or wear a "welcome" badge and help everyone at the celebration feel welcome. Learn more about Havurah welcomers and sign up here.

What is Coming Home to Solidarity? Coming Home to Solidarity is a workshop designed to help us create a culture and community where all members freely show up as their authentic selves; where all are valued, appreciated, and have a sense of belonging. The workshop is an opportunity for white-bodied or white-identifying congregants to come together in a supportive and caring environment to reflect, learn and unlearn, heal from the ways we have been impacted by white supremacy, and start to recognize new possibilities for taking action. Havurahniks, click to learn more and RSVP. -
