Inspired by our Shmita year, HCAT is following up on our October Mental Health event and hosting a monthly zoom support group. Our work of Tikkun Olam, whether we are acting on behalf of climate, immigrant justice, homelessness and poverty, racism, or Israel/Palestine issues, can be exhausting and can feed a sense of hopelessness if we are not careful. Our support group offers the opportunity to get to know others involved with tikkun olam actions, support each other in the emotional challenges of this work, inspire each other with stories and reminders of all the joys still so much a part of this life, put the challenges in context with a strong spiritual foundation, and build our strength to continue the long distance run for tikkun olam. This heart centered community of activists welcomes more members. We have one monthly zoom meeting and additional outdoor meetings inspired by our monthly zoom connection.
