Over four sessions in July and August we will bring into the light four wise women from the Tanach (the Hebrew Bible) who deserve recognition for their wisdom,courage, and/or vitality.  

Classes are every other week to allow participants to have time to do the biblical reading about the woman we are studying prior to the class. You will also be notified about one week prior to each class if there is a particular commentary that it would be helpful for you to read before the class - and if so, how to access it.
Having a Hebrew/English Tanach will also be very  helpful during class. It is also not necessary to attend all four classes to get something from the class as it is being constructed as a profile of each woman mostly independently from each other. 

The first woman we will study, on July 13, is Tamar. Before the class please read Genesis, Chapter 38. 

The second woman we will study, on July 27, is Devorah. Before the class please read Judges, Chapters 4 & 5. 

The third and fourth women will be revealed as we get closer to August so that I can keep you engaged with some sense of enticement and mystery over the summer!
