Monday, October 21, 2024 19 Tishrei 5785

5:00 PM - 6:30 PMZoom Room Gimel

HCAT’s slow read of an inspirational and informative book begins on Monday, October 21, from 5 pm to 6:30 pm in Zoom Room Gimel. (RSVP for Zoom info.)

We will discuss the first chapter of How Precious the Ground on Which We Stand: Jewish Values that Could Save the Earth by Rabbi Sheldon (Shelly) Lewis. During this meeting we will decide how often we want to meet, and at what pace. Dr. Adriane Leveen, Bible Scholar and Climate Activist writes, “Lewis conveys the many ways in which the Hebrew Bible celebrates the natural world as a sacred creation that we must cherish and work to preserve. His words are glorious, his vision illuminating. Reading his book fills me with joy.”
