A week following Peter Beinart’s talk on “Reparations and the Palestinian Right of Return as a Form of Teshuvah for the Nakba”, Rabbi Benjamin will lead a Torah and values-based discussion of the complex issues raised.

The Beinart conversation might well evoke strong feelings and opinions. Even the words used in the title of the talk make many Jews uncomfortable: Nakba, right of return, reparations, teshuva. Beinart poses a crucial question: Is there a way that Palestinian rights can be acknowledged while maintaining a secure presence for Jews in Eretz Yisrael? You may share these in advance with the Rabbi, or bring them with you for discussion with other members.
