This election season members of the Tikkun Olam Cluster have been busy writing postcards and letters, phone banking and text banking to encourage those registered voters who don’t vote in every election to get to the polls or mail in their ballots. Research shows that, with the right message, we can turn infrequent voters into reliable voters. We work with organizations that reflect the Tikkun Olam topics we address, such as climate change and racial justice.

It’s fun to get together with others to do the writing, calling, or texting. The Tikkun Olam Cluster invites you to join us in the Sukkah at Havurah Shalom on Tuesday, October 22, anytime between 12:30 pm and 2 pm, to shake the lulav and etrog and get out the last of the letters/postcards that need to be written. Bring your lunch if you like. We’ll have snacks, along with paper and pens.
