The Israel/Palestine Committee will host discussions about films that help illuminate the I/P situation. Tonight's film will be "In Between" Please watch the film prior to the discussion. RSVP so we can send you questions to ponder about the film. Open only to Havurah members. We'll meet in Room Gimel.

Viewing the Film

Kanopy is a free streaming channel available through public libraries, including the Multnomah Public Library.  That channel has many films about Israel and Palestine that go beyond the films the Israel/Palestine Committee is suggesting for discussions.  

Movie Madness has DVD copies of our first three movies as well as 5 Broken Cameras.  In addition to the streaming version, the public library has a DVD of The Gatekeepers.

Update

The discussion will take place as planned.  We realize, however, that emotions are running high because of the crisis in Israel/Palestine and we want to provide a space for people to share their reactions.  To do this, we will end the film discussion at 8:15 and keep the meeting open until 9 to allow everyone an opportunity to express their concerns. This will not be a policy debate. Everyone's reactions will be accepted and respected.
