We want to hear your stories and life experiences to guide the actions of this committee. We are blessed with a tremendous breadth of experience both professional and personal amongst this group.  

During this meeting we will have several breakouts to allow you to talk with each other as well as the whole group.   

Historically, the Ma'avar committee has been called to work on end of life issues.  Ma'avar actually translates to transitions. We have had programs to write advanced directives, Death cafes, and how to have conversations with loved ones. We have had movies about dying well in Oregon and book talks about what death looks like thru the eyes of an ER doctor.  

The medical community is rethinking advanced directives and their effectiveness and looking at how we can improve our quality of life and death. What do we learn as we transition through the different stages of life? How can you talk to the people in your life who matter about what matters to you?
