3:00 PM - 5:00 PMTypical of Jewish culinary traditions around the world, Jewish cooking in Morocco reflects local foodways as they are inflected by distinctive religious and communal characteristics. Along these lines, this class offers an introduction to the broad scope the Moroccan Jewish cooking in in its cultural and historical context. Participants will also learn about the basic ingredients that form the foundation of Moroccan Jewish cooking and prepare a simple salad often served on Shabbat and other festive occasions.
