Canceled: Seder of Gender Liberation
Sunday, April 12, 2020 • 18 Nisan 5780
3:00 PM - 8:00 PMAll genders and all ages welcome to contribute. The Pesach Haggadah and Passover itself are all about liberation from a kind of enslavement. And this formative story has been understood and re-understood in light of whatever kind of constriction or enslavement the people celebrating it are concerned with, for a few thousand years now. Feminist and gender-related Haggadot flowered in the 1980s, and since, we have liberated ourselves from the constrictions of gender roles and assumptions, and from sexism. Many of us have been a part of this in some way or have incorporated these conversations into our seders.
