Spiritual Vocabulary and Preparation for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur
Thursday, August 27, 2020 • 7 Elul 5780
7:00 PM - 8:15 PMTshuvah, Yamim Noraim, Kol Nidrei, Chet…These are some of the core concepts/values at the center of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. We use them in song, prayer, and intentions. But what do they actually mean? Beyond translation, how can we connect to them personally? In this session, we will look deeply into what our “High Holidays” are really about, through the lens of some Jewish spiritual vocabulary. Then we will focus on Avinu Malkeinu, a beloved and theologically complicated prayer. Led by Deborah Eisenbach-Budner, Havurah Education Director. RSVP by Aug. 23. This event will take place on our High Holidays platform. Registration is free. We look forward to seeing you!
