Step Into the Living Torah
Sunday, November 8, 2020 • 21 Cheshvan 5781
2:00 PM - 4:00 PMBeginning in text, we’ll play with voice, movement, story, stillness and a bissel silliness to encourage and cultivate personal midrash (Torah-based narrative). Through embodied Torah study we find ways to discover and express meaning, EVEN WHEN WE CAN’T ARTICULATE IT. For newbies and Torah scholars, cultural creatives and recovering serious people.
Cassandra Sagan is an ordained Maggid (Jewish storyteller/teacher), arts educator, and poet who has dedicated her career to helping others access and express their creative brilliance. She has combined her love of Torah with InterPlay, which is an active creative way of accessing the wisdom of the body through simple, incremental forms of movement, voice, story, stillness and a little bit of silliness. She has trained Jewish educators and led InterPlay Torah studies across the country and in Israel facilitating personal midrash, insight, and prayer.
