2:00 PM - 3:30 PMHavurah ShalomThis year's Tikkun Olam Tzedakah Project supports the Warm Springs Water Coalition mutual aid group!
Havurah member Sahar Jones and the Warm Springs Water Coalition will introduce us to their work in response to the water crisis at the Warm Springs reservation. Learn how the Coalition has been responding and how Havurah members can help. Presented by the Racial Justice Committee.
The Warm Springs Water Coalition mutual aid group coordinates directly with Warm Springs Tribal Emergency Management to respond to the ongoing water crisis on the reservation. This event will serve as both a standalone political education event, and an introduction for the Warm Springs Water Coalition being this year's High Holidays Tzedakah Project.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to wear a KN-95 mask as one of the presenters is immunocompromised. Masks will be provided.
Elul Tov!
This activity is being offered as part of Havurah Shalom’s celebration of the Hebrew month of Elul! As Elul precedes Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, we use this time for study, reflection, and mental and spiritual preparation and inspiration. All are invited to attend our gatherings, which span spiritual, text-based, political, ecological and creative topics. We hope you will find them enriching, fun, moving, and worthwhile. You can find the full list of classes here, or see the calendar. For questions about this programming, please reach out to Rachel Pollak.
Nonmembers are welcome!
