(IP) HCAT & Partners' Climate Action Fair at MJCC

HCAT invites you to continue with our climate action month by attending a community wide Climate Action Fair at the Mittleman Jewish Community Center. Cosponsored by the MJCC and the Jewish Federation’s Climate team, meet dozens of environmental organizations and discover resources for actions you can take. A series of speakers will talk about forestry, electrification, native plants and climate friendly foods.

All are welcome! ASL interpretation will be provided for speakers. An arts activity area will be available for both children and adults.

Programming Highlights: A series of speakers will talk about forestry, electrification, native plants and climate friendly foods. Meet Paul Koberstein, co-auhor of the book, Canopy of Titans, The Life and Times of our Great North American Temperate Rainforest. Their talk will be followed by a panel discussion including Chuck Willer of Coast Range Association, and Brenna Bell of 350pdx. Learn what we can do to help preserve and restore our temperate forest and urban trees in the face of climate change. Hear Brian Stewart speak about how we can electrify more of our homes and lives, Weina Dinata speak about the native plants that beautify our gardens and help preserve essential pollinators and insects, and Peter Spendlelow who will speak about how to eat in ways that help protect our planet as well as our health.

All are welcome! Registration (below) is optional!

Please note that a physical PHOTO ID and a BAG SEARCH are required for building entry at the MJCC.
