We gather to find some moments of quiet and shalom. Led by Rabbi Benjamin, Adela Basayne, Deborah Eisenbach-Budner, Nancy Becker, or Ria de Neeve. Havurah members, join the Racial Justice Committee for our monthly meeting (2nd Thursdays, 7 pm to 8:30 pm, Zoom Room Bet). We will make plans to create learning opportunities for our community and engage in learning together during the meeting. Questions? We will interweave singing High Holiday melodies with reflecting upon and discussing the themes and meaning of this sacred time. Everyone is welcome, whether or not you consider yourself a singer. Facilitated by Rabbi Benjamin and others.

Our catered vegetarian Kabbalat Shabbat Dinner begins at 6:30 pm, followed by a Kabbalat Shabbat Service at 7:30 pm.

The Havurah Climate Action Team invites you, your friends, family and acquaintances to join us on Saturday Sept 14th from 7:00pm-8:30pm at Havurah for an informational event to increase awareness of the Global Climate Strikes planned for September 20th and 27th. The strikes will be major international events with students, parents and others striking from school, work, and other activities to attend protests around the globe. On the 14th we will hear from a group of remarkable student climate activists, the Sunrise Movement, and strike organizers. Get your questions answered and find out how to get involved. The Havurah event is open to everyone so please help by using your networks to spread the word.
