In this workshop, Rabbi Benjamin will guide rising 7th grade students and parents in responding to the text with our own questions and learning how to craft a drash that connects Torah to our lives. We will be in Zoom Room Gimel.

Using sexuality as a focal point, we will see how Jewish language and culture are used to explore themes of generational conflict, identity and cultural transition. Led by Deborah Eisenbach-Budner. This class takes place in Zoom Room Gimel. Please see the weekly Hineinu newsletter for the link.

A conversation with members of the Long Range Plan team gives Havurah members the chance to imagine our future, what we want to look like five years from now, and how we will get there. Havurah members of all ages are welcome to attend. The meeting will take place in Room Dalet.

In this cohort, we will explore Jewish spiritual wisdom to guide our pursuit of justice and support our building a more loving world. In trusted community, and utilizing a range of texts and practices, we will focus on particular middot, “soul traits,” and their impact on our relationships and action. Guidance will also be given for practice and reflection in between sessions. This class is now full.

If you are curious about Havurah finances and wonder how the annual budget is built, we invite you to join former Treasurer and Finance Committee member Janet Byrd and current Treasurer Shari Raider for a closer look at our budget process. We will have a conversation about who is involved, what is considered, and how choices are made. This conversation is for all members – those who never think about organizational budgets and those who do. This event will take place in Zoom Room Gimel. Members only, please.

Would you like to improve your ability to speak conversational Hebrew? Can you already read Hebrew but don't always know what you're reading? Did you take Hebrew lessons ages ago or did you participate in an Ulpan experience in Israel but have forgotten all you learned? Would you like to laugh and learn with fellow Havurahniks? Come join Racheli Ross as she continues a beginning Hebrew class in which the focus is on functional Hebrew conversations and vocabulary development. Thursdays, 7-8:00 pm, with an optional 8-8:30 practice session, starting on January 14, and continuing until March 18. This will be in Zoom Room Heh.
