Just for Havurah members, our Mahjong Group is a fun, social activity that builds community, encouraging new friendships and cementing old ones. And while some of us may play elsewhere as well, we all agreed that restoring its place as an ongoing congregational activity will be a good fit for Havurah and those of us who play or want to learn the game.

Our Havurah Sukkah is a place of meditation, meals, song, and community. Get together with other Havurahniks to make it look fantastic and feel as special to be in as it is. We’ll have special art activities for kids and some tasty finger snacks. Come over and bring your craft on as we decorate the sukkah with paper, fabric and posters to celebrate the Festival of Booths!

For all who want a regular prayer practice and for people saying Kaddish. We meet both in person and streaming online in Zoom Room Aleph. All are welcome. Please email info@havurahshalom.org for join info. Today we will start at 8 am for the second day of Sukkot.

The Tikkun Olam Cluster invites you to join us in the Sukkah, anytime between 11 am and 1 pm, to shake the lulav and etrog, chat, eat food, and write postcards to get out the vote in Virginia or contact your Members of Congress. Bring your own lunch. We’ll provide snacks, postcards and pens. Please RSVP.

This program gives children a foundation for lifelong Jewish learning and engagement while integrating parents and children in a caring Jewish community.

Families new to Shabbat School are required to attend both parts of the New Family Orientation and Teacher Trainings. You will meet other parents, become more oriented to the Shabbat School program and your participation in it and gain some training in teaching Shabbat School. Your attendance and participation are integral to the success of your family’s experience and our program.
