This year, we usher in Shabbat and the new year together with song, prayer, and reflection, setting the tone for our Days of Awe journey. Erev Rosh Hashanah services will take place at the Tiffany Center downtown and will stream on Youtube.

A Sweet Year for Wee Jews

A half hour of singing and stories about the holiday for the 0-5 crowd and their parents. We'll be in person at the Tiffany Center downtown. This activity will not be streamed online. RSVP
Rosh Hashanah Family Service
10 am to 11:15 am, Saturday, September 16 – The Tiffany Center (1410 SW Morrison St., Portland) (in person only)
Especially for families with children over age 5! This upbeat and participatory Rosh Hashanah service is for the whole family! Enjoy stories and skits, soulful prayers and contemporary songs–as we all begin the year anew, together. This service will be in person only at the Tiffany Center downtown, with no online streaming. Rosh Hashanah Day 2 Services
9:30 am to 1 pm, Sunday, September 17 – Havurah Shalom and Zoom Room Neshamah (Go to the Havurah High Holidays page for log-in info for Zoom Room Neshamah.)
For the second day of Rosh Hashanah, we will hold services at home at our Havurah Shalom building at 825 NW 18th Avenue. We warmly invite you to join us in person or on Zoom. A vegetarian potluck will follow the service.
Community Tashlich Service and Potluck Dinner
4 pm to 5:30 pm, Sunday, September 17 – Foothills Park in Lake Oswego
We will gather by the water at Foothills Park in Lake Oswego to release our mistakes and regrets amid song and community. Bring a little dish for a potluck afterward. Please RSVP to receive updates.
High Holidays Cemetery Remembrance Service

We gather to remember our loved ones, led in song and remembrance.

As the gates of prayer begin to close, join us in celebrating the start of Yom Kippur. Services are free and open to all. You can join us either in person at the Tiffany Center or by accessing our High Holidays YouTube stream.

Yom Kippur Afternoon Tikkun Olam Discussion: Climate Change and Its Disparate Impact
1:30 pm to 3 pm, Monday, September 25 – Tiffany Center (1410 SW Morrison St., Portland, OR)
Immediately following the Yom Kippur morning service and in the same room (in person only), please join Havurah's Climate Action, Sanctuary, Racial Justice, and Poverty and Homelessness Committees for a panel discussion. The topic will focus on the disparate impact of climate change on refugees, people of color, and those living in poverty. We will have small group breakouts following the panel presentations.
Yom Kippur Family Service
3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, Monday, September 25 – Tiffany Center (1410 SW Morrison St., Portland, OR)
All are welcome! The service is geared toward families with children ages 5-11. Our Yom Kippur Family Service helps people of all ages focus on our yearly tradition of celebration and renewal, with favorite songs and prayers, the Jonah story, and a chance to connect with others. RSVP
