Havurah Naturalists Hike

Friday, April 6, 2018 21 Nisan 5778

8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Join the Havurah Naturalists Group on a beautiful hike to Falls Creek Falls in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, in Washington, not far from Carson/Wind River. It's a relatively easy hike of about two miles from the trailhead, along the rushing waters of Falls Creek to some spectacular falls. There should be some early spring wildflowers in bloom and it is not uncommon to spot a herd of elk on our way to the trailhead. The falls are surprisingly large and will be roaring at this time of year. Be sure to bring rain gear, even if we have a sunny day. Also, bring lunch, a snack, and water, and boots and poles are recommended. Optional items include a camera and binoculars. Meet at Jeff's home at 8:30 am to carpool to and from the trailhead. Please contact Jeff with any questions at jeff@gottfried.net.
