THIS CLASS IS NOW FULL.

We all have stories to tell. This workshop will help participants to discover those stories they want to write and share. Through the use of writing prompts, assignments, and group critiques we will explore the world of memory and shared experiences. Students will (hopefully) feel liberated from their inner critics and get down on paper even those stories that they may have been reluctant to look at in the past. There will also be an emphasis on those experiences that are uniquely Jewish in nature, reflective of our culture and identity – whether we are Jews by birth or by choice, or among the still perplexed. No particular experience is necessary to participate in this workshop, other than a desire to explore your internal terrain and to be an attentive and thoughtful listener for other people’s, sometimes intimate, discoveries.
