Havurah Shalom

Jewish Theatre Collaborative is offering a special Wednesday performance of its Page2Stage adaptation of Davita’s Harp for tween, teen and adult members of Havurah. This powerful coming-of-age story by Chaim Potok centers on the 1930’s and 1940’s New York world of Davita Chandal, the daughter of a Christian father caught up in the Spanish Civil War and a Jewish mother who rejected religion for Marxism. Davita navigates her own path through faith, politics and compassion in what has been called Potok’s “bravest book.”
