This Friday's Kabbalat Shabbat Dinner and Service will be our last before summer break. Don't miss Rabbi Benjamin, Ilene Safyan, Chaim Wolin, Barry Lavine, and Karen Stolzberg as they lead us in a spirited, musical service to welcome Shabbat.

We will have special guests at the dinner and service. Tikkun Olam Adelante, a subgroup of Havurah' s Sanctuary Committee, has invited six guests from the Ortiz Community Center in Northeast Portland. These staff members work closely with Havurah members who volunteer in various programs at the center. Please join us in welcoming them and find out more about Havurah's involvement with the diverse population this community center serves.

The dinner starts at 6:30 pm, and the service starts at 7:30 pm. The catered dinner is vegetarian, with dairy-free, gluten-free, and nut-free options. You are invited to bring wine or juice to celebrate Shabbat, and childcare is available for kids ages 2 to 8.

Registration for the dinner closes at noon this Wednesday, or sooner if the maximum number of seats are filled first, so RSVP now to reserve your seat! If you're interested in cost adjustments for the dinner, please call 503-248-4662.

Whether or not you join us for dinner, please come to the service at 7:30 pm. No RSVPs are required for the service, and all are welcome!
