Famous 40's in Jewish History -- 

• Noah and crew floating on the ark for 40 days and 40 nights of rain
• Moses with G-d on Mount Sinai for 40 days
• The Israelites wandering for 40 years in the desert
• Joshua and the spies spending 40 days in Canaan
• And 40 years of Havurah Shalom!

Havurah Shalom was founded in the late 1970s by a small group of families focused on creating a dynamic Jewish community. Havurah founding members focused on strong family involvement and a participatory approach to Jewish life, much as we continue to today.

We’re having a party to celebrate our first 40 years and look forward to the next 40! The festivities are happening on Sunday, May 19, from 5:00-8:00 pm. We’ll have food, drink, music, dancing, memories, and a chance to support Havurah as we embark on our next 40 years. Whether you have been a member for 40 years or for 40 days, we hope you can join us to celebrate!
