We gather to find some moments of quiet and shalom. Led by Rabbi Benjamin, Adela Basayne, Deborah Eisenbach-Budner, Nancy Becker, or Ria de Neeve. Rabbi Joey has spent a lifetime considering the stories we tell ourselves about God’s presence in the world and God’s absence from it. Together we will reevaluate the koans and parables that perplex us, hold us in thrall, and offer comfort. In five sessions, there will be time to consider your own experiences with faith and doubt and mystery, and then Joey will reflect back excerpts from the traditional prayers that say all this and more. (For beginners and advanced puzzlers too. Candor and a hearty spirit are prerequisites.)
