Delve into the complicated lives of ten Biblical women through the lens of art and creativity.

We gather to find some moments of quiet and shalom. Led by Rabbi Benjamin, Adela Basayne, Deborah Eisenbach-Budner, Nancy Becker, or Ria de Neeve. Talmud Lite is led by Rabbi Joey. We will be looking at a fundamental aspect of Jewish law, the taking of vows and the ways in which it’s possible to be released from the commitments these signify.

Endowment Committee

Rabbi Joey has spent a lifetime considering the stories we tell ourselves about God’s presence in the world and God’s absence from it. Together we will reevaluate the koans and parables that perplex us, hold us in thrall, and offer comfort. In five sessions, there will be time to consider your own experiences with faith and doubt and mystery, and then Joey will reflect back excerpts from the traditional prayers that say all this and more. (For beginners and advanced puzzlers too. Candor and a hearty spirit are prerequisites.)

Our catered Kabbalat Shabbat Dinner begins at 6:30 pm, followed by a musical Kabbalat Shabbat Service at 7:30 pm. The dinner is vegetarian, and we offer dairy-free, nut-free, and gluten-free options.
