Shabbat School students and their parents will serve meals to homeless clients at the nonprofit Transition Projects. Grade 6 will serve on Oct. 9, Grade 4 on Nov. 13, Grade 2 on Dec. 11, Grade 3 on March 12, and Grade 5 on April 9.

Hakol submissions are due at noon.

We gather to find some moments of quiet and shalom. Led by Rabbi Benjamin, Adela Basayne, Deborah Eisenbach-Budner, Nancy Becker, or Ria de Neeve. Talmud Lite is led by Rabbi Joey. We will be looking at a fundamental aspect of Jewish law, the taking of vows and the ways in which it’s possible to be released from the commitments these signify.

Our joyous and beloved Purim and Pesach traditions are mixed with strains of revenge. Complicated questions echo throughout our texts and celebrations: what are the lines between revenge and justice, survival and subjugating others, self-love and selfishness? The Mekhilta, an ancient midrash collection, which tends to be more universalist and human-centered than most, will be our starting place. Taught by Deborah Eisenbach-Budner. Register by March 8.
